At OpenOcean, Raoul is part of fund management activities and reporting; he will also help us automate and develop all kinds of processes. Before joining OpenOcean, Raoul studied international finance and innovation management at Reykjavik University in Iceland. He also worked at VTT, one of Europe's leading research institutions, as a Finance Trainee, developing financial management of academic research projects. Raoul holds a master's degree in accounting and finance from Åbo Akademi University. In his master's thesis, he studied the effect of Venture Capitalists' financial reporting preferences in the adaption of management accounting systems in early-stage VC-backed startups. He also studies another master's degree in political science at his alma mater. Raoul enjoys outdoor sports, such as hiking, fly fishing, and collecting vinyl records during his spare time.
